Research has now uncovered there are drugs in tap water
August 30th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedSurprised, shocked, not the least bit surprised at the latest news. New tests are showing that in most cities and places that use well water, there are drugs in tap water, and no they are not the kind used to treat the water, but real prescription, over the counter, and recreational drugs.
How is this happening? We are the cuplrits - yes us! We take so many medications today, that they can’t be completely absorbed by our bodies and thus pass through our bodies via urine. Although the sewage facilities are treated, as well as water from reservoirs and rivers before they are funneled into our drinking water, these treatments are not able to remove
all traces of medications.
But we are protected by government standards aren’t we? Well, no actually. The EPA has not regulated this aspect of the drugs in tap water, so there are no laws that can protect the consumer from yet another deadly assault on our water supply.
That’s not all. Just today additional news stories include water tests raising questions in E. coli outbreak. Yes, a state in Oklahoma found baceria in a water well near a restaurant where people were actually taken ill.
In New Jersey news reports of one in eight private wells being contamined. This could affect a percentage of the 400,000 homes in the state that use these private wells for drinking water. About 12.5 percent of these wells were found to have a high level of at least one drinking water contaminant. So the stories go on.
This is not an acceptable scenario for any of us. Hence the need to the proactive and take your health into your own hands.
Now that you know there is a likelihood of drugs in tap water in your home what can you do about it. Get a water treatment system like many of the thousands of health conscious people today.

If you don’t protect your family’s health, who is is going to?

Why Pure Water Filters? For Your Health Of Course
August 26th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you are still not sure, let’s examine what is in our drinking water. Are you in a state that recycles its waste water into drinking water? If you’re not sure, find out because the risk of contaminated water is especially high for you. Tap water around the country has been found to contain bacteria, parasites, and viruses on a regular basis. These are kinds of microorganisms that are barely detectible and the treatment plants cannot get rid of them, so they quietly send them on through to your faucet.
There are other things that are found regularly in tap water, too. Brace yourself, these might not be easy to swallow. Prescription medications are regularly found in drinking water. Do you want to know how they get there? Not because people are heading down to the water treatment plant and dumping their expensive prescriptions into the water. Not even because they are flushing unused drugs down the toilet, although this does account for a little bit of it. Rather it is because they are flushing used prescription drugs down the toilet! Yes, the traces of prescription drugs that are likely in your water come from human waste. I told you to brace yourselves.
Animal waste, animal drugs, household cleaning products, antibacterial soaps, and traces of just about anything else that lays on the ground near a water source, soaks into the ground near a water source, or that goes down a drain or toilet are all contaminating our drinking water. Now, think again about the previous question. Is a drinking water system worth the money?
What’s stopping you getting a drinking water system today.

Is a Drinking Water System Worth It?
August 25th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedDrinking water systems for the home have come a long way over the years. The quality and technology of home drinking water systems is outstanding, and the systems themselves have gotten smaller and quieter than ever before. And the prices of the home drinking water systems reflect the advancements, too.
So are the home drinking water systems worth the price you will pay for them? That depends on the reason you think you might need the drinking water system in the first place. Do you want soft water for your bath and shower that will make you feel better and make your skin and hair shine? How much is that worth to you? Enough to pay for the installation and upkeep of a drinking water system? Not for most people, but some feel that they are worth every penny to look good.
Perhaps you would like to have cleaner sinks, toilets, and bathtubs and shower floors. The orange, rusty looking stuff that forms everywhere your tap water touches is nearly impossible to remove. It looks nasty and it is nasty. Where does it come from? Well, it comes from the same pipes that send water to your drinking water faucet. Whatever is turning your toilet crusty and orange, and impossible to clean, is the same thing that you are putting into your body every time you take a drink of tap water. Now is a drinking water system worth it?
What else do you think your drinking water could contain? Something you want to put in your body, or children’s bodies. Remember, going out for a good dinner, theatre etc. is a wonderful treat, but make no mistake, you will never regret looking after yourself by putting mineral fresh, clean, pure water in your body on a daily basis looking after yourself and that of your household.
